The Hunt for Sources

The hunt for sources was a lot different than I expected coming into this class. I thought that finding relevant sources would be easy, but the hard part would be to get them to talk with me, knowing that I am a journalist. I was very surprised to find out the number of people who were more than happy to be interviewed and at times, thought it was fun.
The hard part was finding the sources in the first place. I had a lot of trouble finding relevant sources for my stories. A few times I got a hold of people, but had trouble setting up times to meet.
When I thought it would be hard to find sources, it wasn’t and those people were easy to talk to and gave me more than enough good information. When I thought it would be easy to interview someone—like ‘person on the street’ interview style, I had a lot of trouble getting people to talk with me or give significant information.
