Coming to a Close - Casey

So this semester has been a whirlwind of classes, assignments, friends, work, and memories - as many of you experienced yourselves I am sure. The end of school is always an interesting time with summer plans frantically trying to piece themselves together and people hoping to find a good balance between relaxation and being responsible with their career paths; however, when you graduate it is a whole different story. Leaving is no longer a temporary goodbye, farewell, see you soon. It is more permanent. It is like writing a depth story where several different people and information come into play and all of this time and effort is spent making it worthwhile, and then you have to come up with a conclusion. You need to end the story in a way that will make audiences remember the article (and hopefully the author). You need to sum up all that you have been attempting to convey over the past however many pages. Doable? Certainly. Challenging? Without a doubt. Emotional? Can I get a HELL YES. However, much like making that conclusion to the article that has consumed your life for the past few days, weeks or months, it is a relief when you finally find the words that can bring the madness to a close.

Unfortunately, conclusions have never been my strong suit. Ending on that perfect note that draws a breath, sheds a tear, sneaks out a giggle. I don't often make that happen. My conclusions are always a bit on the weak side, but that's okay. This time around my conclusion needs no special words of wisdom or summary - graduation does that for you. Therefore instead of a general conclusion, or even an epic one I will leave you with a simple Thank You, Good-Bye, and Good Luck! May your final years go well and your graduation be the best conclusion for you as possible.
